Representation and Partnerships

One of SAVO's key roles is to offer and faciliate representation and partnership development for the voluntary and community sector. We do this on a local, countywide, regional and national level. We are working hard to formalise the way we represent and how we link to our partners.

We have recently published a report into how the VCS are represented at a strategic level in the county: Voluntary & Community Sector Representation in Suffolk and the role played by VCS Infrastructure Organisations (747KB, PDF)

  • Our Representative Role  ( 2 items )

RepresentationSAVO are often asked to sit on meetings as a representative of the VCS. In terms of staff, we are a small organisation and resources do not allow us to attend every meeting or event. In some cases, it is not SAVO that is actually required, rather a VCS organisation with a particular knowledge or skill. We are, therefore, developing a framework with partners to ensure that the voice of the Sector is heard, at the right level and in the right forum.

  • The Suffolk Compact  ( 4 items )
The Compact in Suffolk logoWe, at SAVO, are the drivers of the Compact in Suffolk. A Compact way of working underpins the way we operate and we aim to champion its use and sign-up within Suffolk. This section gives information about the Compact in Suffolk and how it can be used.
  • Partnership Development  ( 3 items )
    Partnerships

A partnership exists when two or more organisations "share resources to reach a common goal". Part of our ethos at SAVO is to bring together organisations and sectors in partnership, plus develop and strengthen existing ones.

  • Forums and Networks  ( 5 items )

NetworksThis section details some of the forums and networks that SAVO have an involvement with.
