One in every four women in the UK experiences domestic violence at some stage in her life, and every two days a woman is killed by her abusive partner.
Ipswich Women’s Aid (IWA) is a local charity providing helpline information, refuge and support to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
We would like to invite women from all backgrounds to join IWA as voluntary Trustees who govern and monitor strategic planning and oversee the running of this charity. No previous experience required, all it takes is one evening pcm, but it makes a huge difference to women and children suffering domestic violence.
