The County Council publishes a range of helpful information on their website for potential suppliers, so read these pages carefully:

The following link gives information on how SCC runs its tender process:

www.suffolk.gov.uk/BusinessAndConsumer/ProcurementAndTendering/BuyerProfile/HowOurTenderingProcessesWork.htm

They also adhere to a Supplier Charter (which has been written to Compact compliance), available here:
www.suffolk.gov.uk/BusinessAndConsumer/ProcurementAndTendering/LegalAndPolicyFramework/DraftSupplierCharter.htm

All of SCC’s opportunities are posted on Supply2.gov or Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) (for contract notices placed in the Official Journal), please see links below:

Register for free on www.supply2.gov.uk - the Government's national lower-value procurement portal. Receive daily email alerts containing relevant tender opportunities and promote your company to the public sector.  Supply2.gov.uk aims to provide SMEs (including the Third Sector) with visibility of Government tender opportunities below the OJEU thresholds (typically below £100,000) to encourage them to sell to Government - a huge potential market which can provide the stability SMEs need to thrive and grow.

Tenders Electronic Daily: www.ted.europa.eu/

Suffolk County Council also post forthcoming opportunities on their website for contracts looking to be renewed in the next five years.  You can download information from:
www.suffolk.gov.uk/BusinessAndConsumer/ProcurementAndTendering/BuyerProfile/CurrentOpportunities.htm
