SAVO currently employs 20 staff members. Our main offices are based in Ipswich, but we also have staff based in West Suffolk and Waveney. Brief descriptions of our job roles and contact details are set out below.

Provides leadership for SAVO to address the needs and release the opportunities for Suffolk’s Voluntary and Community Sector. A good starting point for getting going, finding direction, establishing networks and contributing your views on the needs of Suffolk’s VCS. Within the constraints of a fairly hectic diary, Jonathan would be delighted to come and meet you, your trustees or perhaps speak to your AGM if you have an appropriate theme.
Christine Abraham - Voluntary and Community Sector Development Co-ordinator for Suffolk Coastal
Responsible for liaising and working with voluntary and community groups operating in Suffolk Coastal to determine gaps in provision and co-ordinate training, advice (including funding surgeries) and offering support to build their capacity. This post is hosted by SAVO, but is accountable to the Suffolk Coastal Resource Network, the local infrastructure partnership (LIP) that operates under the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership.

Responsible for diversity matters for Suffolk’s VCS and for SAVO. Is working in partnership with ISCRE and SIFRE on the development of a Minority Ethnic Network for Suffolk; developing, in partnership with local partners, training initiatives, briefings and events. Works with small minority ethnic groups to capacity build them. Represents SAVO and the VCS on local, regional and national partnership bodies in matters of diversity and equal opportunities. Tracy is currently delivering NOCN Level 2 Accredited Training in Managing Voluntary and Community Organisations.
