SAVO currently employs 20 staff members. Our main offices are based in Ipswich, but we also have staff based in West Suffolk and Waveney. Brief descriptions of our job roles and contact details are set out below.

Provides leadership for SAVO to address the needs and release the opportunities for Suffolk’s Voluntary and Community Sector. A good starting point for getting going, finding direction, establishing networks and contributing your views on the needs of Suffolk’s VCS. Within the constraints of a fairly hectic diary, Jonathan would be delighted to come and meet you, your trustees or perhaps speak to your AGM if you have an appropriate theme.

Assists with financial matters to ensure all monies received are banked and all suppliers paid. Contact for Directory of Social Change book club.
Responsible for developing, building and maintaining strategic working between the VCS and public sector partners including representation and advocacy. Acts as Suffolk's Compact Officer and co-ordinates and participates in a range of networks and forums. Responsible for SAVO’s main website.
Robin Hodgkinson - Training Manager & Deputy Chief Executive

Responsible for all SAVO's Learning and Skills Activities and Get SORT&D! Project and development of Toolkits and E-Learning. Chairman of the Suffolk VCS Learning and Skills Consortium, member of National LSC and VCS Working Together Strategy Committee. Editor of Suffolk VOLLIES and Members Briefing.
Sue Clements - Voluntary and Community Sector Development Co-ordinator for Suffolk Coastal (covering for Karen Lawson until April 2010 and BASIS 1 / Mental Health for Laura Hack until October 2010)
Responsible for liaising and working with voluntary and community groups operating in Suffolk Coastal to determine gaps in provision and co-ordinate training, advice (including funding surgeries) and offering support to build their capacity. This post is hosted by SAVO, but is accountable to the Suffolk Coastal Resource Network, the local infrastructure partnership (LIP) that operates under the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership.

Responsible for training, support and development of Voluntary and Community groups in Waveney. Main contact for PQASSO the quality system for the voluntary sector and partnership working with all sectors in the Waveney area. Is also a qualified PQASSO mentor.
Tracy Ray - Diversity Officer

Responsible for diversity matters for Suffolk’s VCS and for SAVO. Is working in partnership with ISCRE and SIFRE on the development of a Minority Ethnic Network for Suffolk; developing, in partnership with local partners, training initiatives, briefings and events. Works with small minority ethnic groups to capacity build them. Represents SAVO and the VCS on local, regional and national partnership bodies in matters of diversity and equal opportunities. Tracy is currently delivering NOCN Level 2 Accredited Training in Managing Voluntary and Community Organisations.
Responsible for the promotion and development of volunteering and volunteer management within Suffolk.

Project facilitator for Suffolk Learning Consortium (and Third Sector Workforce Development) and webmaster for Suffolk Volunteering Federation website and SAVO e-learning websites. An ex-Microsoft Registered Partner (so he can provide help on IT questions) and also specialises in documentation design and quality management.
Health Trainers
SAVO is currently working with NHS Suffolk and other VCS organisations including ICVS, to manage a Health Trainers project.
