This accreditation is for Volunteer Centres. The assessment process for Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation examines the activity of a Volunteer Development Agency in delivering the 6 core functions of volunteering infrastructure, which are:
- Brokerage
- Marketing volunteering
- Good practice development
- Developing volunteering opportunities
- Policy response and campaigning
- Strategic development of volunteering.
For each of the 6 core functions of volunteering infrastructure a Volunteer Development Agency is asked to demonstrate that it has processes in place to deliver that function and to monitor the outcome of its delivery, and there are options for each as to the evidence that is submitted.
