Our Mission, Vision and Values PDF Print E-mail

SAVO's Vision is of, "a sustainable, effective and dynamic Suffolk voluntary and community sector".

To achieve this vision, our organisational Mission is, "to support, inform, represent and develop the voluntary and community sector in Suffolk".

Underpinning our work are a number of Values, with which we are committed to pursuing and promoting:

  • Equality of opportunity
  • Equal respect for everyone
  • The value of the voluntary and community sector in Suffolk
  • Innovation and creativity
  • The diversity of the sector and appropriate responses to their needs
  • Best quality in all work
  • Integrity and independence

We aim to achieve this vision through the following areas of work:

  • Support: To actively support and encourage and increase the effectiveness, level and quality of the Suffolk's voluntary groups' services to their community.

  • Inform: To identify the demands facing the voluntary sector and help groups meet the changing needs.

  • Represent: To consult, represent and liaise with other bodies on relevant policies and programmes affecting the voluntary sector.

  • Develop: To provide innovation and initiatives for new and established voluntary action in Suffolk.

  • Efficiency: To strive for efficient and cost-effective delivery of SAVO services.

  • Co-operation: To strengthen & expand co-operation amongst Suffolk's voluntary groups, through the establishment & support of local recognised voluntary organisations, forums and networks.
